It is found as a free form or as salts.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"transpan\"><span id=\"tran0\">This tartaric acid is isolated from by-products of the wine making (white wines generally). Water is the only solvent used in the manufacturing process. Product of food grade &#8211; food ingredient (E334).<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"transpan\"><span id=\"tran0\">This ingredient is PREPARED BY UP-CYCLING OF BY-PRODUCTS FROM THE WINE INDUSTRY.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\">Uses :<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span class=\"transpan\"><span id=\"tran0\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Natural dyeing<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>: for the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #333333\">mordanting of wool and silk<\/span><\/strong>, in addition to alum, tartaric acid gives different shapes than those obtained with the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Cream of tartar\" href=\"https:\/\/www.green-ingredients.com\/en\/boutique\/cream-of-tartar\">cream of tartar<\/a>. Recommended also for cochineal dyeing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"tran1\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Other uses<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>: as an organic acid, pH adjustment, reducing agent, complexing agent and setting retardant for plasters and cement compositions.
